Aida [ah-ee-dha] joined Doyle & Seelbach in 2021. Prior to the pandemic, she had the rare opportunity to serve as first and second chair in various civil, family, criminal, and administrative bench and jury trials in Texas. She has represented clients with personal injury, insurance, property, contract, intellectual property, business, family, and probate disputes, as well as over 200 immigration matters either administratively or in immigration court. She also has experience in residential real estate title insurance and TDI compliance, from her pre-law school endeavors.
Extended Bio
Aida obtained her law degree from Cornell Law School and her bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Austin. In law school, Aida was a member of the Labor Law Clinic. She was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the Dispute Resolution Practicum course and was a member of the Cornell team in the 2015 Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution, Cornell v. Marquette, Arbitration Challenge. She also served as a Senior Editor of the Online Cornell International Law Journal, an Associate for the Cornell Legal Information Institute, and a legal research assistant for Professor Stephen Yale-Loehr. Outside of the Ithaca gorges, Aida clerked at The White House under President Obama’s Domestic Policy Council and the Dallas Immigration Court.
Aida held various community leadership positions within the League of United Latin American Citizens and has interned for Amnesty International’s Migrant and Refugee Rights Initiative and American Gateways. She is a proud alumna of the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Latina Commission, 2021 Leadership Academy and the National Hispana Leadership Institute, as well as a Bill Archer Fellow.
Aida lives in the outskirts of Austin, but was born and raised in Juarez, Chih., Mexico. She enjoys swimming, yoga, spending time at the lake or the Texas “beaches”. She prioritizes nourishing her relationship with her family and close friends. She also enjoys studying theology and staying apprised of national news.
